I’ve been meaning to see this for a while now and I wasn’t disappointed. I usually hate biopics but what I think made this work is that the film was about more than the man. By really focusing on the first amendment, it lent itself more to the medium than most biographical stories do. In terms of performances, Courtney Love was the weak link but really could have been much worse.
